Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number. I have a cheap no name MP3 player. Ever since I upgraded to Windows 8. At first I thought it might be a power saving problem or something, but disabling all power saving options hasn't helped.
No idea who the Manufacturer is. It was given away as a door prize, and there is no mention of a manufacturer anywhere on it. Went to device manager right click bottom left corner of screen and found the mp3 player under disc drives.
Did this solve your problem? Luthorhuss, I'm positive it isn't the lid. The latch mechanism doesn't respond to the signal. Rode in today and probably rest of week. Can meet you if you are in area although today may be tough. I realize I should have tied a line to the latch to avoid using the screwdriver.
Will do Scrutiny - Disconnect (2) - Disengage To None (File next time I open it. Wed Mar 24, pm quote. When I take it apart I'll take pictures. No use letting this lesson go to waste. In the meantime I'll be coming up with my own temporary opening mechanism. I had been having difficulty getting my gas cover to open since shortly after my mile checkup.
I discovered the problem with my latch over the winter shutdown as a result of a complete teardown. The subassenbly that contains the latch and tension springs is held by two screws and are either loose or improperly installed on the center console fuel pit, Scrutiny - Disconnect (2) - Disengage To None (File.
There are two tabs that must be located inside of the molded stop posts and not resting on them. If the tabs on the latch assembly rest on top of the molded stop posts, this then opens up the crosshaft holding dimension allowing the latch to fail to release. When located inside the post, the dimension of the holes for the crosshaft will close up and MP3) the shaft from moving.
Based on my observation of two other MP3's with similar problems it usually occurs as a result of a well meaning effort to adjust the release by loosening the two screws inside the fuel pit. Without removing the center console it is not possible to resett the position of the latch assembly properly. In my case and the others, our local service mechanic made just this MP3) with the end result of using the screwdriver to open the fuel cover as previously described.
Once the latch assembly is properly reassembled and installed it may still be difficult to release the cover. To resolve this issue, cut a piece of corrugated cardboard box stuff board approximately 1" wide and 6 inches long. B or C Flute will workfold it in half and place it between the lid and pit end nearest the latch. Wedge this in place by forcing the lid down to its MP3) closed position. This puts pressure on the hinge portions and the back wall of the pit to open up the clearance to the latch arm.
I may be crazy but it appears to me the plastic used for the lid assembly is not stable dimensionally and this procedure will likely need to be done occasionally. Whatever you do, don't loosen those two screws inside the fuel pit to attempt an adjustment unless you plan to remove the center console to restore its position and fit. Didn't want to continue to use the screwdriver because eventually that will damage the fuel door.
For now, I removed the latch clip in the door and am using a bungee cord to hold the lid down. Now no worries about opening the door to refuel. This will hold temporarily until I can remove all the tupperware and find the cable and latch mechanism. At least the bungee cord is Tennessee orange, so I won't get too many comments. Ponydrvr - you are correct, I will not loosen or remove the two screws in the fuel console.
Read Luthorhuss' post and I don't want to go through that although I will come close. I never hear it like I do on the seat. I thought it is just a mechanical cable connection to the key. Oops, need to think before typing. I was of course thinking about the seat, sorry everyone. The reason the dealer threw a fit was because I had loosened those two screws holding MP3) clamp and the whole thing fell down into the well.
Fri Mar 26, pm quote. I consider this just another security measure, I have this quirk on my It's a mechanical issue and not really a problem or an issue as of yet. My solution; when I pull up to a pump for gas I turn the engine off then turn the key to open the hatch and at the same time give the hatch a good rap with my knuckles as if I were knocking on a door. One good whack and it flips right up, if not I give it another whack, it usually opens on the first "rap".
This is a minor quirk for me and I don't mind it at all. I have to ask - why not fix it? It is so, so simple. Sat Mar 27, am quote. SH Lim. Sad to say that mine can only pop open for the very first week after I bought the scooter. After that was a gentle push at the hinge the opposite of the latch and will pop open.
Been doing that all this while. Guess the question of 'why don't fix it' seems appropriate. Sun Mar 28, pm quote. Took everything apart today to fix the gas door latch. Here is the sequence of steps photos follow. Remove the seat - first remove the seat sensor cover single screw and disconnect the seat sensor. There is a small locking tab on the connection that you need to open up to disconnect the sensor. Three bolts are easily removed to disconnect the seat. Remove the side rear fairings - First you have to remove the far forward hand grip cover three screws plus one into the body.
Then there are 7 screws one in the very back near the tail light. It also helps to remove the a small panel at the bottom for later reinstallation 2 screws. Slide the top of the fairing out from under the handlegrip and slide forward to the front of the bike to unlock the tabs.
It is easier to take off than to put on, but not that hard to do either way. Remove the lower front small panels just by the foot rest right one covers the fuse block single screw. Inside you will see two screws top and bottom on the rear side of the opening. Remove these screws. Remove screws 2 at the top, back of the center console that connects the center console to the under seat compartment.
Remove the gas cap. The center console won't lift up over the cap. Grasp the back of the center console and lift it up rotating it at a point at the front of the scoot. It is a little stiff, but it will pop loose. The latch has a cable mechanical that slides into a holder see photo. In my case, I had pulled the cable loose when feeding an electrical cable using a coat hanger.
Without BKCommonLib there are no more kick-events But a lot of other stuff isn't working without BKCommonLib. Hopefully that bug is fixed in the next BK update. This one 3 days ago is broken: BKCommonLib.
TnT likes this. I did allready use multiverse, but there is a problem that still forces me to use MyWorlds: I created my server's "world" with Myworlds. Of course I tried to define new spawns with the help of 3 or 4 different Plugins The first-spawn-position isn't configurable in my main world without the "MyWorlds-Plugin". Sounds strange If I want it or not. Life is not easy Just a heads-up from the author I logged in just for this message BKCommonLib is going to be rewritten from scratch, pretty much.
As a result, many errors are likely to go through that plugin, there is little that can be done about that. They will no longer break between CraftBukkit builds. TrainCarts is still a work in progress, as it is quite large. I am not telling people to use a different server implementation either when they come to me with errors related to CraftBukkit.
